POODLE CLUB OF NSW INC
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
The aims and objectives of the Club are set out in Article 3 of the club’s Constitution.
Article 3 – AIMS and OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
- To affiliate with the NSW Canine Council (hereinafter referred to as NSWCC);
Please note – the NSWCC is now incorporated as the Royal NSW Canine Council Ltd, trading as Dogs NSW
- To promote and encourage the breeding of healthy pure-bred Poodle dogs;
- To promote and raise the standard of Poodle dogs in New South Wales;
- To promote the holding of Exhibitions;
- To conduct Exhibitions;
- To foster, promote and protect the interests of exhibitors of Poodle dogs at Exhibitions;
- To collect, verify and publish information relating to Poodles and the breeding and exhibition of Poodles;
- To educate and encourage members, Poodle breeders and judges to abide by the requirements and standards approved by the NSWCC for the conduct of exhibitions and shows;
- To promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among members and those participating in or attending at exhibitions;
- To disseminate information relating to the ownership and care of dogs, and the responsibility of owners for the conduct and actions of their dogs;
- To hold functions and lectures relating to dogs (including but not limited to Poodles) and to the objectives of the club generally;
- To make awards and donate prizes for competition at Exhibitions and for the competition by breeders and exhibitors of Poodles;
- To foster relations with other canine clubs and bodies having similar aims;
- To promote and assist and to make contributions to canine veterinary research and other canine causes;
- To invest the funds of the club not immediately required in such manner as the members shall determine;
- To promote or encourage interest in the breeding, upkeep, training, general well-being and improvement of Poodles; and
- To do all such other things as may be incidental, ancillary, necessary or conducive thereto.
