Information & Promotion
Dogs NSW holds a Dogs on Show event each June at Erskine Park in Western Sydney to show case pure bred dogs to the public. The Poodle Club conducts a stall staffed by Poodle Club volunteers who can share information about Poodles with visiting Poodle owners and members of the public.
After a break of a few years Sydney's Pet and Animal Expo is returning to Rosehill Racecourse in alternate years, commencing on 18 and 19 February 2012. The Poodle Club of NSW will be participating in this premier pet event.
The Poodle Club is also considering how to set up other information and promotion activities. These may include information tables at all breeds shows and obedience trials in different regions, finding appropriate radio broadcast programs where we can have input, participating in other community activities such as local markets, growers markets, agricultural shows, horticultural events and other domestic animal exhibitions. The possibilities are endless.
A small group of Members is starting work to develop new ideas or redevelop old ideas. These may include Puppy Picnics, Grooming Workshops for pets and show dogs, Show Handling workshops, Breeding Strategies for Breed Improvement, Genetics for Dog Breeders, and anything appropriate that the Members can think of.
If you have ideas about information or promotion that you believe other Members will be interested in please contact
