Obedience & Agility Trials
Obedience & Agility
The Committee and in particular the Trial Secretary and Show Secretary, plans and runs an Obedience Trial in conjunction with October Championship Show every year. The tasks are very like the show secretary's tasks for Confirmation Shows. Ground setup is particularly important to meet the ANKC rules governing obedience trails. The trial is for poodles who are registered with the ANKC or either the main or limited register. Dogs on the associate register cannot be entered.
You can find out more about Poodle Club Shows and Trials by clicking on this link to the Shows & Trials tab.
You can find out more about Obedience Trials in general by visiting Dog NSW and going to the activities & events tab, then clicking on the drop down box "Obedience", then the drop down box "About Obedience". The ANKC rules can be found by clicking on this link, placing your cursor over the tab "About ANKC", clicking on the drop down box "Rules", scrolling down to "Obedience", and clicking on the link.
At this stage the Poodle Club does not conduct Agility Trials, as they are quite expensive to run. However the Club is considering how to link in with other organisations that run Agility Trials to acknowledge and Promote the participation of Poodles.
